The Centre for Inter-Professional e-Learning (CIPeL) is an established Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL), one of 74 funded by the Higher Education Funding Council in England in 2005.
The Centre's funding ran from 2005-2010 and was a collaborative partnership with Coventry University and Sheffield Hallam University.
Our overall aim during this period was to develop and disseminate solutions to the barriers to inter-professional and interdisciplinary learning amongst students of health and social care professions, through the use of innovative e-approaches.
The work that CIPeL undertook during the funding period produced many successes and innovative ways of learning in an online environment, which included our work expanding into other professional areas such as disaster management, geography and business.
These few pages remaining on the CIPeL website intend to inform visitors of CIPeL's achievements in the five years that it ran. We invite you to read our final evaluation report which you can access here.
You can also refer to our edited book, published in 2010, entitled Interprofessional e-Learning and Collaborative Work: Practices and Technologies. IGI Global
Both Universities have evolved into new projects and initiatives in our respective institutions based on the work we have undertaken in creating a wide range of e-learning objects, applied research and consultancy. If you require further information please do not hesitate to contact us.
