We intend to act as a ‘beacon of best practice’ to promote interprofessional and interdisciplinary e-learning nationally and internationally through several, interwoven strands of activity.
We have built a digital repository of learning objects, which specifically address interprofessional learning outcomes, building on exciting innovations previously piloted at Coventry and Sheffield Hallam Universities.
Academic staff from Coventry and Sheffield Hallam have the opportunity to obtain support to develop IP Learning Objects and Learning Activities.
In a further strand of activity, we are contributing to the evidence base for IPeL through the development of common research, evaluation and pedagogic strategies related to inter-professional e learning. PhD studentships and small project grants will be available to further this aim.
Finally, it is our intention to engage internal and external stakeholders through common staff development strategies for e-moderation and IPL facilitation, and to explore the potential to deploy our e-approaches in other multi-disciplinary fields.
